Music Video Blog Post # 2
So far, we have filmed scenes for our music video and we are also getting used to the camera. First we worked on using Mise-en-scene. We practiced how to set up the shots and make sure the lighting was good for the scenes that were filmed. We made sure to mark certain locations and to make sure we are dressed like our characters.
When it came to camerawork we took time to re film the scenes that we worked on so we could get the right angles. Some of the shots we filmed were close up shots, over the shoulder shots, and a trailing shot. It took us many attempts because the camera is still very new to us but we eventually got the results we wanted. Sound wasn’t that much of a huge factor because we are using just the song as sound. We did have to make sure the sound and lyrics were matching to our plot and storyline. When it comes to editing we are trying our best to make the transitions smooth and not abrupt . We are doing this by making sure we are using the correct shots.
Overall, my group is trying our best and we are using the four elements of production to make this music video.
