The experience of filming

-The Ripple Effect-

A film about a young girl who steals a penny out of a wishing well and this results in her journey of a sequence of bad luck until she is able to reverse her actions.

Hi, this is me and my groups film opening experience!! Hope you enjoy!!! 

What went well?

While filming a lot of things went well. To begin with, we were very organized. Such as, before filming we made the script and also made a shot list to follow. This really allowed us to film quickly without a lot of issues. During our first time filming we were not allowed to film over the counter at Jamba Juice. We needed to include a scene where the main character is seen grabbing a drink. During our second attempt of filming we asked the workers at Jamba Juice and they allowed us to film which was good.

What did not go well? 

 Some factors made it hard to film as well. The weather was very bad. We still filmed and used the weather to help set the mood of bad luck. For one of our scenes we had to portray the main character spilling a drink over herself which was very hard because we had to film it in one take and shot. We practice the scene a lot before spilling the drink. We also had to get permission for a lot of places to be able to film. Most places said yes which was a good thing.  

How did we overcome these challenges?

 My group manage all these problems by staying positive and channeling good luck even though we were making a film opening about bad luck. We practiced multiple shots and angles as well so we would feel confident in the results that we got.

This scene was very challenging for us as we had to film it in one take. We practiced multiple times before doing the final cut but it took a while to finally feel confident to film this part as if we messed up, we would probably have to film another day or change the shirt.
